Learner Handbook & Code of Practice

1. Welcome

  • Welcome to Alina Holistic Training Centre.

  • We provide professional training in Reiki, massage, holistic therapies, wellness, and personal development. Our courses are designed to support personal growth, professional development, and ethical practice, whether you are learning for self-development or working towards professional application.

  • This Learner Handbook & Code of Practice sets out what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you, before, during, and after your training.

  • By enrolling on any course, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the principles outlined in this handbook.

2. Our Training Ethos & Professional Standards

Our training is grounded in:

  • Integrity and ethical practice

We are committed to creating a learning environment that is:

Training provided does not replace medical, psychological, or psychiatric care and is delivered strictly within professional and ethical boundaries.

3. Scope of Training & Learner Responsibility

Our courses are educational and developmental in nature.

As a learner, you understand that:

  • You are responsible for your own wellbeing and self-care during training

  • Training does not constitute therapy or medical treatment

  • You are expected to work within your level of training and competence

  • Certification confirms course completion, not automatic professional suitability

If at any point a practice or topic feels overwhelming, you are encouraged to pause, ground yourself, and seek appropriate support.

We are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.

We welcome learners regardless of:

5. Safeguarding, Emotional Safety & Boundaries

Many holistic practices involve reflection, awareness, and inner exploration. Emotional responses can arise.

We are committed to:

  • Maintaining clear trainer–learner boundaries

  • Providing education, not therapy

  • Encouraging learners to seek external professional support where appropriate

Learners must not:

  • Treat fellow learners as clients during training unless explicitly instructed

  • Attempt to diagnose, treat, or counsel others beyond their competence

  • Use training spaces to process unresolved trauma

Any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns should be raised privately and respectfully.
