MLD – 1:1 Practical Assessment

A three-hour, one-to-one observed practical assessment and feedback appointment with Alina Painter for students enrolled on the Manual Lymphatic Drainage Practitioner Course at Alina Holistic Health Academy. WHAT YOU WILL DEMONSTRATE • Consultation, risk recognition, consent and professional scope. • Preparation, hygiene, safe positioning and draping. • A coherent MLD treatment using the pressure, rhythm and direction taught on your course. • Monitoring the model, communication, aftercare and record keeping. Complete both practical days and the required preparatory work before assessment. Have your five practice treatment records, nine case-study treatments across three clients, reflective work and theory evidence ready for review, following your agreed submission plan. Use client codes or pseudonyms and obtain consent for case-study use. The outcome and any further evidence or practice required will be explained by Alina. Booking or attending this appointment does not guarantee certification. LOCATION In-person only at Alina Holistic Health Academy, Blacknest, Alton, Hampshire. This appointment follows the practical requirements of the Academy's blended-learning MLD course. ENTRY AND PREPARATION For enrolled students aged 18 or over with the prerequisite recognised Level 3 body-massage qualification or accepted equivalent containing Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. Supply evidence for tutor approval before attending. Revise your theory, consultation, contraindications and treatment principles. Wear suitable clinical clothing and keep nails short. Alina will confirm arrangements for a suitable consenting adult model. BOOKING Enrolment, payment, prerequisites and readiness are checked before confirmation. This is part of your course pathway, not a complete qualification on its own. Certification follows review and successful completion of all course requirements.

• Training sessions, assessments and Reiki attunements are available only to students enrolled on the relevant course with Alina Holistic Health Academy, whose course fees have been paid in full. Students must complete the required preparatory learning for their level before receiving their attunement. Reiki courses purchased from other providers do not entitle you to book these course-related attunements. • Booking a session does not enrol you on a course or replace payment of the course fee. Enrolment, payment and any applicable prerequisites will be checked, and ineligible bookings will be cancelled. • Sessions may be booked up to 30 days in advance and no later than 24 hours before the start time. • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. With sufficient notice, your session may be transferred to another available date without a rescheduling charge. • Late cancellations or missed sessions may incur a reasonable charge reflecting the Academy’s actual loss, taking account of costs saved and any replacement booking. Any charge for a replacement session will be explained and agreed before rebooking. • Illness, emergencies and severe weather will be considered individually. If the Academy cancels a session, an alternative date will be offered, without affecting applicable statutory rights. • Cancelling an included session does not cancel your course enrolment.
